Students Activities in High School

Various students activities in high school provide an outlet for students to expand their horizons as they grow and learn.  High school, and learning, is about more than just time spent in the classroom.                

The list of extracurricular activities available to high school students will vary from school to school, but most will include various sports activities, cheerleading and dance teams, subject matter clubs (math club, foreign language club, etc.), service organizations, Student Council, and many others. 

There is usually something for everyone and participation can develop leadership skills, promote cooperative learning, and lead to new friendships.  And don't forget to list all your extracurricular activities on your resume and college applications.  Colleges like to see a high level of involvement in their applicants.
